LCOE.ai is the AI platform for the entire commercial solar lifecycle. We give lenders, portfolio managers, asset owners, and M&A teams a single system of record — live performance data and every loan, PPA, and O&M document reconciled into one continuous record per project, from underwriting to exit.

Solar energy generation has doubled this decade and is set to double again, while the teams managing loan books, covenant compliance, and diligence cycles are still doing it largely by hand. LCOE.ai changes that. We're early, we're moving fast, and we're building to market demand.

The Role

We're looking for our first Sales Leader to run the full commercial motion from first call to closed deal as a founding member of LCOE.ai. The role blends the experience of a seasoned sales leader who can lead business development and close deals — finding the right companies and people to engage, qualifying, running demos, managing pilots, and driving deals across the finish line.

Gregg, our CEO, will be your primary collaborator on strategy and relationship development. You'll have warm targets, real pipeline, and active conversations to walk into from day one.

Our buyers are portfolio managers, credit officers, and commercial lenders at banks, green banks, and specialty finance institutions. Selling to these buyers requires credibility, patience, and the ability to connect operational data to financial outcomes. If you've been in solar, project finance, or clean energy lending, you already speak the language.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, demo, pilot, close
  • Build and manage a pipeline of lenders, green banks, and specialty finance institutions
  • Run product demos tailored to each buyer persona — underwriters, portfolio managers, M&A teams
  • Nurture pilot accounts through onboarding and conversion
  • Collaborate with the CEO on outbound campaigns, messaging, and target prioritization
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records and communicate forecast to leadership
  • Represent LCOE.ai at industry events and through digital channels

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in fintech, cleantech, or financial services
  • Proven ability to close — not just set meetings
  • Comfortable selling to finance professionals (credit, portfolio management, lending)
  • Strong written and verbal communication; can explain complex products simply
  • Self-directed; thrives in an early-stage environment without a playbook

Strongly Preferred

  • Background in commercial solar, project finance, or clean energy finance
  • Familiarity with DSCR, P90/P99, PPAs, or solar loan covenant structures
  • Experience running your own outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, email sequences, calls)
  • Prior experience at a startup or high-growth company
  • Strong command of AI tools across both product and sales
